I think I figured out why the deer have been scarce at the cabin. Friggin Ohio needs to at least open up a trapping season on these damn things.

However, this guy did cruise through last night. Went out today hoping he'd come back by but never saw him.

Browning BLR (lever action) in 7mm-.08, Leupold VX3 2.5-8×32 scope.

CZ 527 bolt action carbine in 7.62×39, Leupold VX-R 1.25--4×20 Firedot

medium and short range rigs...

Cool , If I'm not hunting with a 30-30 , a 7mm08 is in the deer stand with me. Also Remington is wondering if you all could meet up at the nearest Sonic. Maybe have a hot dog or two and work things out? 🤣

7mm is nice. I have a sporterized 1903 Springfield 30-06 I hunt with. I have my dads 30-06 H&R single shot that kicks like a mule that I finally got all set up since he passed. I hope to use it this week at deer camp.
I've also hunted with my 44mag Rugar Black hawk revolver with a scope.
