I ended up putting a “Silent Rider” muffler silencer on. I would say it cut the engine noise inside about 50%. I can actually talk to the passenger now. I think it’s was $250
The Silent Rider looks a little funny from the pictures I have seen. Is it pretty solid when it's installed. The noise is a big deal to me so I would like to have one if its a good investment.

I'm new to the SXS and on 2-3-20 I purchased a 2020 700 2 standard, just the simple plane jane model. I purchased it for 95% deer and hog hunting and then working around 1600 acres of land. Mostly maintenance on shooting houses, setting and pulling tree stands, hauling seed and fertilizer during planting, hauling corn and minerals for feeders and mineral sites, hauling fire wood and keeping roads cleared.

I do no recreational trail riding other than what's on my property so this machine is perfect. It's a for a work horse. 1st gear is great for pulling and does not shift to 2nd until 13 mph. I rarely get out of 1st gear. As far as power it has plenty, I have several long hills on my land and they are fairly steep and slick. With 700# of corn and 2 people in 4X4 it climbs right up them. No problems at all.

I feel I made the right choice in size as I have only 1 friend that hunts with me and my kids are not planning on having kids anytime soon so no one but me mostly to haul around 99% of the time.

Only con I've found so far is the lack everyone gives it for accessories. All the aftermarket cool stuff it for the 700 4 and 1000s. Us 2 seaters need love to. :)

Man I really like my 700-4! Went on some real trails this weekend with bigger hills and it did perfect... The only thing that would be nice is the quietness of the 1000.
There were a few p 1000s there and you can’t even hear them run! I am almost 100% happy with the 700... Maybe like 95%... lol... It is not weak or under powered... And I don’t find the suspension bad, but I started with the bucking bronco p500... The 700 rides way better...

Nice. Yeah I just want something to buzz around my 5 acres here and take my grandson around for rides.
I think I'd like the Deluxe for EPS.
Not have turf mode is a drawback if my wife wants to use it for landscaping maintainance. Might be tearing up the lawn up front.

I think all the Honda S x S's should have turf mode, it's great for yards, gravel and concrete driveways.

After owning the bike for a month and the first 75 miles of riding on country roads listening to my 700-2 rattle, I finally spent yesterday evening with a socket and a set of allen wrenches finding all the loose bolts and nuts. Also added electrical tape to the door latches and some rubber zip tied to the dump bed latches.

NO MORE RATTLE! Much quieter machine now. Still whines when running 40mph, but I didnt buy it to run 40.

I can see that my next few thousand miles will be much more pleasant.

Far as insurance I can't remember what I pay...believe its around $300 per year, full coverage. After 15 years with State Farm I went out and let a couple different outfits bid on all of my policies and ended up saving over a 1k per year.

I pay $168 a year through Progressive for the P500 and the trailer we use for hauling it.

I've been with geico forever with cars and ATVs. Added the pioneer last year and was paying $56 a month just for the full coverage pioneer stripped out to the bare necessities. On a whim I checked allstate and it went down to $136 a year for same coverage. Huge savings for it. Havent got around to shopping my cars yet
