I mentioned this thought in a thread in last couple of says, but I wanted
to post this as a question here. Where can I find pricing for the rear
section ROPS for my 1000-3?

I would like to have my bed covered from rain & snow.

I have looked at Honda's website, but I don't find it broken
down to the rear section only.

Thanks!

John

A few members have removed their rear ROPS off of their 1000-5 maybe they would be willing to part with it, shipping would be a bugger though.

I had just found the fiche again. $1200 just for the main
roll bars. Youch!

When I mentioned it in another thread, someone
thought it would bolt up to my roll bars.

I guess that will have to wait until I find someone
how has taken theirs of the back of 1000-5 or
fab something up.

Thanks for the help.

John

Jackal,

Please let me know if you find anyone
who has taken theirs off of a 1000-5.

Thanks!

John

There is at least two member on here that have removed the back section of the ROPS and are running the short roof. I cannot speak for them whether they would entertain selling the take off ROPS, especially this new. However in time you may find a person willing to part with it.

Yes. Either that or write check for the
Honda parts! I suppose I'll drive it awhile
and decide how badly I want to do that.

Thanks!

I have a roof and rear cage section I removed from my pioneer 1000 5 seater. I would be willing to sell it if you cover shipping both have about 22 miles on them. $500 for the roof $600 for rear cage

I will have to verify if my roll cage will accept it. I am picking it up tomorrow
afternoon, so I can look at it & ask the dealer.

Also, where are you located? I am in Western North
Carolina.

Thanks for the offer.

John

I can tell you now the ROPS want have these mount points. May have the brackets but not the nuts... At least I am fairly sure. Otherwise it would be the same part #. You may have to source a body shop to build them.

EDIT...
Then again.. I may be wrong. this is a high res image of a P3

Why not just buy the 5 seat model?

One thing to consider, the 5P bed is narrower than the 3P bed at the back. The 5P bed might not even fit between the pipes.

Because I wanted better functionality of the bed,
and I don't need/want 5 seats. The -5 is more
expensive, as well.

I am thinking I will need to get something custom made
or make it myself, as Hondasxs has mentioned, but I'll
know more when I pick up our 1000-3 this afternoon, I hope.

John, You can buy mine. I removed all the rear cage since it was in the way for what I do. Install it on yours and the 'long' hard top will snap into place. I have all the hardware including nuts, bolts, and seat belts.

Whiskey,
I have kind of put that on the back burner
until I get some other things done on it, but
what are you asking for the set & where do
you live? I imagine shipping on it will be a
premium for it's size.

I have been meaning to check with Honda
to verify they will fit on my 1k3.

Thanks!

I live in Mesa, AZ. It might be easier/cheaper just to drive and pick it up, lol. I don't have a firm price yet, so you could make me a reasonable offer.

Would someone mind measuring
the width of the bed on a 1k5,
say at the top? And or measure
the inside of the roll bars at the
top edge of the bed?

Thanks!

53.5 inches at the front and 40.25 inches at the back. That's the inside measurement of the bed area. Or 59 inches and 51.5 inches for the outside of the bed at the same locations.
