I have the 27" bear claws i've not noticed any power loss. Even pulled a trailer with a deer stand and atv on it through the woods. Was easliy 1500-2000# i pulled.

I know this post is old, but I was wondering how you like those 27" HTR's on the 700. My friend has a 700-4 and I advised him that the HTR's in 27x9 and 27x11 would be awesome for that machine (i run 26x9 all around on my 500).
They're still awesome. Just did some hard riding this past weekend no issues.

Look at the thread Royal blue to windrock put my video on there. Very rough and rocky trails. Best tires for the money I've ever used. Ive not heard a single bad review of them either.

My friend ordered a set the same size as you, based on your comments. Thanks for your help. I post a pic after we get them bolted up! His stock tires are almost bald. It's going to be a beast when he gets these new meats on!

He ordered an exhaust tip yesterday - not the one you just posted, but similar. Does it make much difference in power?

Enjoy reading all the posts on Kenda HTR's. Nearing 900 miles now and they look almost new. Funny exhaust tips are brought up, they do help exhaust flow (can be annoying when hooking up trailers) and together with a K&N airfilter (with pre-filter screen) and a "Snorkel Your ATV" kit for the P2-700 there is a small but noticeable performance improvement. Low end torque is better. Throttle response is quicker. This site (members that is) has great ideas for getting the most out of these Honda"s.
Yea better throttle response and it sounds better. He needs to get a air filter too. I use the UNI.

Over 1000 miles on my bearclaw htr's now. Mostly road miles. Still looking great - showing a little bit of wear. I have rotated them one time. I'd be surprised if I don't get another 1000 miles out of them. Also, popped a bead off on a rocky trail. Had to drive the machine about a mile through trails with that tire only holding on the inner bead. Surprisingly, it did not hurt the tire. These are great, tough tires.

how many people running HTR's are using stock wheels? Aftermarket ones look way better, but is there any other benefit besides a little weight loss? ive heard the offset doesnt always ride as well as stock
I'm running 27" HTR's on the stock 700-4 rims. The wider offset rims will be a little more stable and lighter. I have never bought aftermarket rims for atv/sxs, so I can't speak too how much better it is.
