Today I am installing a heat shield on a Pioneer 700-4.
I had some shielding laying around from my 1000 mod and it worked great.
Used about 4ft x 3.5ft piece.
Similar to the 1000. I just placed it under the seat continuing up to the bolt holes on the seat back.
Cut some slits for different things and gave it a splash of black to hide the silver.

Here are a few pictures. Final picture once it drys. F5f80a915a027ddf848fd1b2b7942248Bb60d15a2c2581f869f4f45aa4388f7cDa2f681ce4211225c3b9099dc24d16329d443ce9886f1c116d87dd0d6a1263fd77183af52c73ef3d4c4fc41caae5b060

I am interested in the heat shield. Where do you purchase this type of material and how expensive is it?
Thanks.

I used something like this. --> https://amzn.to/2IQ8qWA
Returned it back to the owner @suebell. We took a short 5 min ride and she said normally the seat belt buckles would be too hot to touch. After, they are barely warm. She is happy.

It comes with tape to repair the holes you must cut for the seat belts. I also mentioned about adding some of the tape up inside the panel at your leg. I didnt, but I'm sure it would have a great effect on the heat.

Thx Richard
Took your complete advice and installed the same material.

I haven’t trimmed it or painted it yet. Kinda like the silver to match some cup holders ... so undecided.

The piece you have left over is ample to put a second layer. I’m considering it.

I did take it for a long ride and it’s quieter and the heat reduction is significant 👍👍

I’m going to max effort the sound/ heat reduction.

Just ordered some more sound/ heat material to line the entire engine compartment and some self stick sound material to put on the roof of my P700-4.

I’ll post when I get to that!

THX AGAIN... Great post that got me going on this and will keep me busy....(AND I THOUGHT MY BUILD WAS DONE🤪🤪)... at least that’s what I told my wife. She noticed big heat reduction too... so I got a green light!

I picked up a truck windshield shade that is used to keep the sun off the dash. $10.00 . I’m gonna give it a try. Anybody else tried this?

It's what I am using. It helps some...but I honestly don't have much issue with the heat. Mines a 2 seater, which I suspect helps that a lot. I did it as much for noise. I am getting ready to replace it with a cheap rubber or vinyl mat.

I used the
AES Industries 4' x 5' EZ Cool Car Vehicle Insulation Kit Includes 20SqFt Insulation 10' Tape from amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G7BC4CV/?tag=sxsweb24-20.

It was large enough to start 4" below the seat, and extend above the headrest. I trimmed the top, and added extra Nylon Bumper Fastener Rivet Clips along the bottom. And trimmed the bottom corners, I don't feel and heat from the engine now. Worth the $27.IMG 4226
