Does anyone know what connector honda uses so you can just buy the other piece and make your own harness?

I’m just wondering if anyone has tried using a fuse tap with pigtail instead of fighting to find the correct wire for Key On power. As long as you install it on the power side of the fuse you are basically doing the same thing as tapping into a wire without the damage. Of course then there is no need to find the correct wire if you use it on the ACC fuse. It works perfectly for me.

I read through every post in the section last night and there seemed to be confusion over which wire to use for keyed power tap. I took a picture to help explain. when you pull the fuse power block up that is located under the hood next to the battery if you look on the left side of the block, the 5th wire from the top on the left side and not on the battery side of the fuse block you will see a white wire with a black stripe. That is the wire you want for keyed poser for your accessories. It is the wire by my finger. I tapped it and wrapped it in plastic tape. I hope this helps if you are confused as I was. My pioneer is a 2018 1000-5 for reference.

According to Honda Accessory Instructions. Here is the recommended location for Key On Power for the Honda Pioneer 1000 Side by Side!

Honda suggest tapping the 15A Acc Fuse on the output side. Here you will find 2 WHITE with a BLACK STRIPE wires coming out of the output side of the fuse. You will need to untape the wire bunch to access them. It is recommended that you use a posi-tap (not shown) vs the wire tap-ins (shown) for a better error free connection.

I did the same thing this winter. I kept searching and finally found I had tapped the wrong wire.

Used factory Honda rollbar clamps to mount the reverse lights.
Stinger battery isolator and blue seas fuse, buss and distro blocks.

No.
This "key-on" source is limited to 15 amps.

You should use it to control relays or maybe a few small amp draw accessories.
Ex. Dome light, winch control, USB port, volt meter, switch backlights.

I have a 2016 Pioneer 1000-5. Recently I turn the key on and my 15a ACC fuse blows. I disconnected the wire from the 12v cig lighter. Replaced fuse and it still blows. Any clue to why it would do this?
I don’t think a wire melted in the main harness?

Have you tapped any wires anywhere? Like at the fuse panel?
Do you have anything hooked up to the backup alarm port?

No. Looks like water or mud may have gotten in there going to clean it and try a new fuse tomorrow

Tip. Grab the circle with a pair of needle noes while lifting the clip at the line and pull.

Any other thoughts what is causing the fuse to blow. It’s still under warranty but it’s a 2 hour haul to get it there.

Just wire short.

Only the Cig. and Backup sockets feed off the 15a ACC circuit.

Do you have any accessories? How are they powered.
If yes, where did you collect your key-on source? Say for the winch?
