I purchased this same KFI mount because of the high mounting position. Just assembled it to my P500 on Sunday and mounted a Superwinch Terra 35. I like the way it looks and it seems plenty sturdy. My KFI plow mount, push tube and 66"snow blade should be arriving at my dealer in the next day or two (fingers crossed!).
I'm thinking the high mounting position will have a second benefit of providing a higher lift position (ground clearance) of the blade when backing up or pushing the top of a pile of snow, and general transport to and from the push area (like across my yard from it's home garage). It also provides a certain amount of "protection" for the radiator, and I don't think it will restrict air flow to the radiator to any significant degree.

Just installment KFI High Winch mount with the KFI 4500 lbs Stealth winch. took me about 3 hours total with juice breaks and snack breaks thanks to my 4 year old assistant. pretty please with ease that it was installed. easier than mounting factory Can Am winches that's for sure.

this is a really quality mount, looks like a factory item, after seeing this post, I ordered one off amazon to do my winch install, its a VERY nice mount that places the winch in a very good location

I moved my winch from the low factory mount to the high KFI mount today. Like it much better and it's a lot easier to install than the factory mount, the winch is also easier to install on this mount. The winch is higher so it should stay out of the water and mud better. It's behind the bumper and protected, but still more in the open so it's easier to operate the winch and it also shouldn't get as packed with mud and dirt as the low mount did and will be a cinch to clean off now. Didn't take pictures, but it looks just like slacker's pictures above, except my 500 is red and the winch is a warn. I did have to buy a separate fairhead mount, to go between the mount and winch, to bolt the fairhead to, about $20.00.

Has anyone noticed any radiator airflow problems with this high mount.

Was waiting for the airflow thing to come up.. That's the only thing that has really kept me from moving it

I don't think it will block as much air as my spare tire mount, see my avatar, and I ran my 500 all summer with the tire in place and never had any over heating problems. I've only run the 500 in temperatures below 70 since adding the high winch mount, but don't think there will be any problems. It sits well in front of the grill and doesn't block that much of the total area, not nearly as much as my tire did. Only thing now I've got to find a new place for the spare, but I thing I'd rather have the winch more accessible and up out of the mud than I having the spare on the front, although it made a great bumper.

I personally believe the fan should easily make up for the reduced airflow, plus there is still a lot of surface area for cooling.

After riding with a few 500's this weekend. I will say the bottoms filled up with mud fairly quick. The top was clean. None overheated. I don't think the winch would be so restrictive that the fan could not compensate.
