Have a customer's 2016 P1K-3 in shop for coolant leak and a shattered fan. Pulled radiator and couldn't visibly find a leak but I blew into it while covering outlet and found the top tube to be split for about 4 inches. Will take a new rad. No external driver induced injury.

How did that happen. Fatigue over time? Hit something?

No idea. Had thought his hand had backed a stick into it but not sure. Little over 5k miles on it. I figure fatigue on crack. Makes me nervous about my '16.

@Montecresto had a similar failure in Colorado. The fan began making a little noise ,like it was out of balance. The next day it got quite a bit worse. I attempted to turn the fan ( with machine off but warmed up) and found the blades to be soft and flimsy. After the ride we dismantled the machine and replaced the fan and shroud. I suspect the fan bearings got hot and caused the fan blade to become soft. When it would run it had a heck of a unbalanced condition. It only had 1 blade still intact as well.

Looks more beefy than the stock fan.

Can you give dealer and part number for fan. Mine vibrates when hot. In Nevada that's 8 months a year. Thanks, Eric in Reno, NV.
