I want to lift my Pioneer 500. What do you recommend. I live in Southern Illinois, where I have all types of terrain. I'm getting ready to all 27" inch tires and a 3000 lb. Winch to it.

I recommend you don't lift it, they're tippy enough as it is. You can go with 25-26" tires ( on stock wheels ) at under 10 psi and get an inch or two of clearance and maintain about the same as stock stability.

I'm running 27"x11" Ripsaws on all four corners. No lift, no frame mod. Never rubbed, and have full lock-to-lock steering. Been very happy with it. Have not noticed a measurable loss of power, or stability.

How does the P500 handle those big 28’s? Did you lose much power for climbing hills or did it affect trail riding any?

Seems like that' the way to go then I have to get off the ground a little more. Do they make it much wider?
I went with new wheels with the Yamaha style offset, 4+3, at the same time so it is wider. It seemed like it calmed it down, made it smoother shifting, driving, etc. I'll see if I can find a picture

Hi just wondering if you are still happy with your tire choice? Would you do anything different? How much clearance do you have at the rear hitch to ground? Thanks!

I have rip-saw 27" tires all way around no spacers, did go with 4" off set rims. We have no rub and rides well.
Soon as can get pic's downloaded, I will try and post. New to the forum so bear with me.
Thanks
Robert

So I’m thinking of going 27x12x12 rear and 27x9x12 front on factory wheels. Question is will 27x12x12 work for the front if I do 2” spacers all around. Does the collective mind think that is enough offset to not rub in the front?

I would think you're good. Most tires don't run true to size anyway. I'm curious if true 28 x 10's would fit without rubbing?
