Hi folks, I'm new here and I love this place. I did a search for light bar location and see lots of posts for the 700 and 1000's, but not much on the 500.
My thought is a curved 32 inch mounted under the leading edge of the oem roof for branch protection. What do y'all think?

Thanks for the input trigger. I'm looking at slim single row to not foul my sight line. More measuring needed. I've seen 'em at about 1.5 to 1.75 inches thick.
I'm not sure if I would ever install a windshield but possibly.

Got a 32" curved light bar. 1.5" wide.
Mounted under roof. With Sasquatch switch I love this thing and no sight line issues for me. 5'8". It weighs 4 pounds.
I will try to post a pic when I can get some time off.

I made my own roof and mounted mine under it. So far it has been well protected. The second pic shows the kind of tree branch damage I deal with. It’s 10ga Aluminum, and I use the light a lot plowing snow in the wintertime.
