I was wondering if anybody has installed a light at on the p1000 yet? Looks like Amazon has some good prices on them. I like to find one about the same color light as the factory leds.

I've got pods on right now, I'm working with stingray LEDs to come up with a roof bar. We are going to try to mount direct to the roof and see how it holds. If it doesn't hold well, I'm going to design a clamp of the ROPS to come into the bottom of the roof to hold it. (In theory) unless someone has better ideas.

My plans, as of right now, are to mount a 20 inch light bar on the black plastic in front of the windshield. But, I'm going tomorrow to see what can be made for the ROPS. Hoping I will have pillar brackets made for cube work lights.

I'm still deciding. Think I will go with another 12" to 15" across the front bumper.... From Amazon.

But haven't really decided yet! Not at the top of the mod list right now!

On my old 700, I had a 10' Rigid mounted in that spot. I've got a 20" Rigid to mount on my P1K (when ever Honda decides to ship the darn thing!)and thought about that same spot. After taking the light to the dealership to mock up on a red model, I've come to the conclusion that I'll have to mount it on the lower metal frame below the glass of the windshield. The light bar's depth is just too long to mount in the same fashion as the 700 was. Just my ideas here....

Its hard to beat the ebay/amazon bars for the money. I have a 22" on the front of my 700 and 2 slim 6" reverse lights. They work great. Reverse lights should have came factory, they help a LOT

How did you wire up the reverse lights? I want to do this on mine but only want them to come on in reverse when headlights are on and without flipping a switch.

That's how mine are wired and they are awesome. I used a relay, + trigger comes from the tail lights (so only when the headlights are on) and (-) is tapped into a wire just above the air box that is negative, but only when in reverse. I'll have to check and see what color it was but there's only 3 wires there. It was really easy.

My hard top has a metal tag riveted front &
center (I suppose they all do). I will investigate
using that location for a forward light bar.

After all, the factory was nice enough to
pre-drill the holes!

You have a 700? I hope it's that easy on the 1000 if so.

Yes I have a 700. You can use a voltmeter to tell which taillight wire is hot, same with the nagative. The switched negative wire (only (-) when in reverse ) is used when instaling the Honda backup alarm, so there should be instructions for the P1k out there.

Awesome, thanks. Would it be any need to buy the back up alarm harness and rig it to only work with the tail lights?

I'm looking for a lightbar in the front and 2 cubes to go in back with a dome light. Anybody got any ideas?

I've noticed that this machine desperately needs light cubes on the front aimed out at 45 degrees for the peripheral view. The LED head lights are awesome but they don't have any spill for seeing what's at your 10 o'clock or 2 o'clock.

I used "eagle eye LEDS" from eBay for a dome light. They are amazing. Cost like $4 for two 9w LEDs. I can't say enough how bright they are. LED strip lights from eBay or Amazon would be another great option for dome lighting. Two cheap 18w LEDs work great for back up lights. I got the slim versions for about $20/pair on amazon. Up front just depends on where you want to mount it and how big you want to go. A 24" will throw more light than you will ever "need".

The bigger bars have a wide throw or add the small cubes.

I'll probably just have a single 40ish inch bar.

A bit overkill.
