P500 Lil' Redneck Express

We came up for a name for ours today. I got it from the Dodge step side trucks in the late 70's, Lil' Red Express. We call our camper the Hillbilly Hilton so the Lil' Redneck Express will fit right in. So far we added a windshield, mirror and cargo box from Honda. I installed an aftermarket turn signal and horn kit, slow moving vehicle triangle and reflective tape on the corners as required by our local police to be street legal. I had a couple of EK grabhandles and an EK flashlight holder from when we had our shop so I put them on tonight. My wife took it to work today for the first time and loved it. We had a sign shop and still have the equipment so the ugly tape on the corners will probably get replaced with reflective Honda decals or something like that. I have plans for a stake bed that will fit in the cargo box so the wife can haul groceries or whatever. We are going to order wheels soon. It's come down to the ITP SS112 or SS212 with car tires for running around town. We'll keep the stock ones for offroa

The handles were for a larger bar so I had to wrap them around a couple of times. One in the front.


And one on the back bar.

I don't understand the triangle requirement. Even if you have a 1000cc Yamaha, it still must have the triangle to be legal.

If you look in the upper corner of the windshield on the passenger side, you'll see the sticker ($150) that we had to buy to be legal.

Love what you've done so far! And love what you named it. I remember those trucks well. Great runners. 360 motor with factory cam from the RS Dart's 340. You should put stained side boards in the rear just like the truck lol.
