P500 Redneck Roof

I know this is kind of funny and I don't think I can allow myself to do it but, a neighbor gave me an extra partial chunk of horse stall matting so I could start a base on my cargo rack when I got the silly idea to see if it would fit up top. Low and behold; the Redneck Roof! This thing is by no means light but it could offer durable protection if nothing else was available. It could work but since I already ordered my Camo Bimini, we won't go there. I will cut a base for a storage box of sorts though. I'd imagine it'll offer some dampening qualities if I make a kennel back there for the 4 legged family member. If anyone likes the redneck roof, you can buy a 4x6' sheet from any feed and seed store for around $30.

Another thought would be to make it wrap down over the back and make a rear wall with a cutout window......brain never stops.....

Yes, like I said, I already ordered the Camo Bimini and I too saw the inherent danger in having too much weight up top. Thanks for the feedback nonetheless. What do you think of utilizing the material as a base for the cargo rack and for dampening purposes?

Don't mean to discourage you from brainstorming but guys have done that one already, if I'm not mistaken? Think they were getting them from Tractor Supply.
Coming up with an original idea that no one has done to the P5 is a tough one, it's almost all been done...almost.

Let me know what you build for a dog box. I've been thinking of some different ideas for mine, but haven't came up with one I like yet.

Any dog box I build won't matter because my dog will whine the whole time unless she gets to sit up front...

should work good.hydo dipped works if you don't Go through brush that rubs and if you do, then go with the vinyl wrap.but both will look like carp after time like Rocmar said.
