Tell us more!Well... If I do this ride, I would do more of a base camp. There's a spot 15 or so miles west of Elk City that's perfect for camping. I was thinking maybe riding east from there out the Magruder half way or so, meet anyone coming the other way, camp up there one night, & then come back to the base camp. Then we could do two or three days of out and back from there.
Would that be off 14 along the SF of the Clearwater??There's a spot 15 or so miles west of Elk City that's perfect for camping.
Ordered the three Wavian NATO Jerry cans today. These will be stowed and transported in the rear rack on the tear drop trailer. There’s cheaper fuel cans out there but these are exact replicas of the originals, including an internal lining that prohibits rust or corrosion.

Yeah thanks for that. Read the same thing in the reviews section of Amazon’s link. Had to buy the spout separately. Looks pretty cool. 30!!!!! What do you do with them all?Have about 30 of those type of jerry cans they work well don't know if yours are carb compliant but if they are truly sealed and it gets hotter outside stand behind the can and flip the latch. I stood in front of one on a nice 100 degree sunny day and opened it before I learned was not fun.
Yep. Newsome Creek area.Would that be off 14 along the SF of the Clearwater??
I might have just a touch of ocd?I know JTW has that he stops every 20 feet looking for a squeak or rattle

So true I know every time I get in a vehicle with you I start a mental time within 10 minutes you will stop and rearrange something that you think is rattlingI might have just a touch of ocd?
That’s really cool. I remember when obsolete missile silos were sold to the public. You have a cool house built in one too? Don’t for get the Stabil*Why I use them to store fuel in my multiple trucks in my underground missle silo, what else.
Hey you should check these under the floorboard.I might have just a touch of ocd?

Btw, besides the Selway at the Paradise campground and perhaps the SF of the Clearwater near Elk City, are there any other accesses to fishing off the MC. On the map it looked like the Salmon may be accessible if only near Dixie???Yep. Newsome Creek area.
I honestly have not been on the road from Dixie to the Salmon.. It's not very close to where the Magruder ends on the west side.Btw, besides the Selway at the Paradise campground and perhaps the SF of the Clearwater near Elk City, are there any other accesses to fishing off the MC. I duck taped mine together..Hey you should check these under the floorboard.
Ok... Pig PenSo true I know every time I get in a vehicle with you I start a mental time within 10 minutes you will stop and rearrange something that you think is rattling
For convenience and space, I’m thinking about something like this, having read on one .gov website and on several forums that both flies and spinners are popular on the Selway. The .gov site also said you’re allowed two legal fish out of the Selway, is that your understanding.

Well this is part of the reason I’m planning three days each way. This gives ample time for the side excursions like that.I honestly have not been on the road from Dixie to the Salmon.. It's not very close to where the Magruder ends on the west side.
It's about 19 miles to Dixie, and then another 23 down to Mackay Bar. It'd be a cool ride though.
The Mackay bar ride would be far more fun from my base camp.. Look at the map; The more enjoyable (no pavement) route would be to run up the American river just past Orogrande, then take a left at the Y..(turning right takes you to Buffalo Hump) would take you over the hill and would hit the Dixie road south of Dixie.. on the way to Mackay.Well this is part of the reason I’m planning three days each way.
