.... we stopped and picked up a map and the squaw had to ask a ranger if there were any grizzlies in the FCRONR Wilderness and he just looked at her. So she said tell me the truth, and he said yes, a few some of them are collared and tracked....
She took it well though....He said don’t be stupid and you’ll be fine, wished us well and told us to turn right on the Nez Perce trail in half a mile.

Lol I've leaned on enough trees that I'd pay double that for the chair!The squaw brought her a potty chair, says it was the best $15.00 she ever spent.
Storage was PACKED...

Hows that trailer holding up? Looks like it has faired pretty well thus far....Made it back to the main trail and hooked the tiny trailer back up and continued east.

Lol, if you think about it, with vinyl glued to 3/4” plywood, it’s probably more stout than the average RV. Besides, we had several tenters fairly nearby, an easier meal...Glad to see one of them Grizzly bear didnt rip open that camper like a sardine can and eat ya. Looks like a heck of a good trip.
It sure was Plumber, I know you’re a fan of that tire. I checked my tire pressure daily and only put air in one tire, one time.Looks like the tensor regulator was a perfect tire for the trip
I know about being stopped by a tree on near vertical! HA! Glad ya'll had a wonderful trip and safe. I want to see all the pictures!It sure was Plumber, I know you’re a fan of that tire. I checked my tire pressure daily and only put air in one tire, one time.
And speaking of that, I figured that I had about 75-100 pounds of gear that I never had to bring out. My wife said she was constantly wondering what was going to go wrong. But in the end, the worst thing that happened is the strap loosened on the tires I had strapped to the roof and they flew off bouncing down a rougher stretch, scarring the crap out of us, not knowing immediately what was going on, and by s stroke of luck one landed flat and stayed put mostly, the other took off down the near vertical but luckily was stopped by a tree....
WOW, that’s really cool. Yeah, wish you could have joined us but these things are hard to get coordinated.Great photos man! I'm glad you were able to do the trip. Just wish I could have been there too!
You camped at two of the same spots we did.. The campground just across the bridge on the darby side... we not only stayed there, but we had the same spot too!
Lol, yeah I guess you’ve got some experience...I know about being stopped by a tree on near vertical! HA! Glad ya'll had a wonderful trip and safe. I want to see all the pictures!
Did you experience any altitude sickness? We didn't on a snow skiing trip years ago, but two shots of Brandy on the lift would set things right. But that was way back when, when I was crazy! HA!Lol, yeah I guess you’ve got some experience...
No, the elevation of my property in New Mexico is higher than anything we encountered on the MC.Did you experience any altitude sickness?

On the other hand, I’m going to be working on the next years ride, definitely love the area, so perhaps the Lolo. I’d still like to do the wagon road, Orogrande, Mackay Bar on the Salmon.
That’s really neat that we camped in the same spot!!Yea, that spot is in the far back corner of the campground.. it was the only one big enough to fit all of us. we had 4 tents back in there, plus one tent out on the sand next to the river. That was the day my little brother hit a deer on his bike. We camped there while my cousin drove him into Hamilton to the hospital to get checked out & sewn up. If he hadn't crashed, we were gonna go up and camp at Observation point, just below the viewpoint pullout here;

I recognize that one, but the squaw liked having the water features...I figured you might camp at Sabe Vista once you saw it... another really, really cool spot.
