I gotta question for guys that have there pioneer 1000 already. When in manual mode will it let you hit the rev limiter with each shift or does it shift on its on when it gets close to rev limiter?

It lets you hit the limiter. The only time it auto shifts is when you slow down significantly and forget to downshift.

Yes, you can hit rev limiter.

Learned a few things today.
In manual.
- It will only let you shift to (x) gear for (x) speed. ex. You can only shift to gear 3 at a slow speed. As you increase speed you gain additional shift points.
- As you slow down it will auto down shift on its own. Or you can force it down (x) gears within your current speed bracket. For example. If you are going 50mph you can only down shift 1 gear at a time. Once you slow down more and enter into a new speed bracket you are then able to down shift another gear.

This will save someone from ripping the gears out dropping them too fast.

More seat time tomorrow.
