Like many, I am wanting to upgrade my tire size. I also need it to still fit in my pick up bed for transport. Does anyone have experience with whether the 26 inch maxxis by will still clear the wheel wells. I understand that the rear wheels 26x11x12 will be wider but I believe only the front needs to fit…please advise.

Stock rims. Namely cause I don’t know the advantages/disadvantages of 14” rims versus 12”. Wasn’t thinking spacers as the aforementioned tires has the 5+2 offset.

14" rims give you some more tire choices but the ride will be rougher than with 12's. Not as much sidewall available for cushioning. I had 26x9's on the front of mine with 5+2's. Built some ramps so I could drive over the wheel wells in a 2012 Sierra. Ended up not needing the ramps, tires just squeezed through.

26X9X12 kenda bear claws on stock rims no spacers fit through the wheel wells on a chevy and Toyota. They rub a little but not a big deal.

was this with a bed liner or without a bed liner in the Toyota. I'm assuming it was a Toyota Tundra?

Tundra with a bed liner. The Chev has a bed liner also. It squeezes through but the tires don't ride up on the wheel wells.
