P500 Maxxis zilla 28”

Hello all,

I just purchased maxxis zilla 28x9x14 and 28x11x14 for my Honda pioneer 520, has anyone been able to put this size of tire on there machine and not make any mods to it? I has seen people with 30” tires and said they had no mods.

Depends on the true size of them and your wheel offset.

I'm running 27x10x14 on all corners and I have some slight rubbing on the fender well in the front (I don't think the 500s have this plastic piece).

My tires true size is 26.25x10". I plan on running 1.5" spacers up front which I think will cure my issue.

Maybe not. FWIW, I was running 26.5 x 11's on 5+2's with 1" spacers and was rubbing the rockslider. Took the spacers off and cleared. 🤷‍♂️

Tire rub or not rub is all over the place. When I temp run my 28x10x12 MudLites on 4-3's which measure 26.75 loaded I rub my unmodded frame rail hard and notice a clean spot on footwell fender. Then again there's 30's out there that supposedly don't rub so who knows.....

I never even noticed it until I hooked up the plow. Under some compression, wheel turned full left and in reverse. Wasn't just a rub either, it was grabbing and actually bent it down a little bit.

Mason89, your rim choice and their offset will have some effect but I think you'll be fine. May need some massaging to make 'em work. Report back on how they work for ya.
