Same story here, my dealer never done it before also. When I took there they said don't bother do any valve adjustment. But if I insist they can try to do it

If you have an outstanding dealership with high reviews or that you have experience with and trust, that’s probably fine. I’m not that impressed with my local dealership. I’m near 3,000 miles on mine and it snaps off immediately when it’s warmed up, as long as that’s the case I’m not taking mine in for adjustment. And if I do, I’ll be trailering it across the state to the large reputable dealership. Just my two cents.
So if I understand you correctly, you are saying you have done ZERO valve adjustments in 3000 miles? That makes me happy.

Correct, because once it warms up it snaps off everytime and I don’t here valves clattering when it’s running.

Awesome. I'm thrilled to hear this. I'm leaving mine alone.
Exactly. There’s a thread here with a write up with pictures and all and it seems to be a PITA to adjust the valves, so if you can’t here them and it’s not starting hard, IMO leave them alone. There’s Honda 4 wheelers with this motor that have been running around for twenty years and the valves have never been touched.

This summer I sold a 2001 Rubicon with 13,000 miles that I bought new in 2000 and never adjusted the valves! Still ran like a top!!

Not sure if they malfunction if I hear noise or clicking sound? I'm inclined not to adjust unless local dealer do it on regular basis with other Honda sxs or at, but sounded like no one bothered to do it in my town at least.

I’d go with the Rubicon in a jeep or Honda over the 500. I had a 500 for about a month... it just didn’t do it for me. I prefer a 4 wheeler to the 500. Now the 1000 is awesome!
Blasphemy!!!!!!!!
SINNER !!!!!!!
