With all the mower, boat, atvs and SxS batteries to keep healthy, this combination for home and away use works for me.

I have the same Ctek you have but I use a Beatit G18 2000 amp jumper pack instead of the GB40 that you use.
Beatit offered a free portable air compressor when I bought the battery pack which I carry all the time in the P500.

I used the Ctek mainly to rejuvenate some older batteries once a year....and 4 of these
Battery Tender 12 Volt Junior Automatic Battery Chargers, 2 for riding lawn mowers, 1 for the P500 and 1 for the 1965 CJ5.

I'm happy with all these items...and consider them must haves.

I did the simple route when running 6 gauge wire for the winch, power steering and accessories. Mounted posts on the upper cross member just left of center. A 300 amp switched breaker for circuit safety is mounted on the frame behind the passenger seat. I jumpered the ground to the under hood frame, but some have run a separate ground back to the battery.

18 inches of water will cause more problems then a wet battery. That level of water is pretty much over the seat and into the airbox.
