Yes, I just threw the sub box w/6 x 9's in this past weekend. Dual battery kit with Yellowtop Optima feeds this:rolleyes:
Good job dude. I won't be turning on my MTX if I pull up beside you on the trail. :)!!!!

You know, I'm seriously considering ditching the stock battery all together for a single car battery. The way I see it my sub has a 9 speaker Alpine stereo, all the electronic gizmos to run the motor and body computers and such, on a single battery. Surely a sxs can't draw more juice than that. Only difference is that the Durango has a much bigger alternator than the Pioneer.

Good point, that may pose a problem. Perhaps one of our techier members could advise on that.

Quick question, with the 6x9's and the subs sharing the same air space, I did something similar back in the 90's in a car I had, and the pressure inside the box that the subs created would push on the 6x9's and distort the crap out of them when you pushed the volume up. Do you have any issues with that?

No, I have homemade baffles and its ported on the bottom of the box. But even with ports I thought about exactly that and created baffles out of a rubber made storage lid and insulation! It sounds really sweet, and that is with the amp turned almost all the way down! I have quick connects hooked to it so its easily removable as well.;)

Gentlemen, both are decent systems but neither will provide the bass and lows that makes you feel as if you were listening live! Component may be the way to go! There are more and more systems available every day! I am a fan of SSV, and after researching a system for the P5 to maybe offer an alternative came across this...
SSV Works - Side by Side Vehicle Specialists
With this as the foundation for your system, you only need to find the combination of speakers that complete the sound you are looking for!

Ohh, you're killing me with all the room you have in that thing Eltobgi. Nothing wrong with having some thump!
This SSV Brain you posted is BA! And way cheaper. Looks like it has the same setup as my overhead, minus the dome light and 6" speakers. I would've built a much more elaborate system with that to start with. You've got me thinking now...
Anyone want to buy an overhead at a discount? No, seriously.
