I have seen mud busters mentioned on this forum a lot and plan on buying some. I also seen some on eBay that look good and say they are oem. Anyone use these or have an opinion on which is better or worse. If I do go w mud buster which would you guys recommend ( 2inch strongmade lift 28x10 tires with 1" spacer in the back) reg or xl mud buster. The wheels and tires are being installed tomorrow. Lift already done. I rode a little yesterday and got mud over the roof lol.

I like the look of the factory, but with it it still doesn’t give you the coverage you need at the bottom of the front plus no rear tire coverage at all. Mud buster makes and exentsion set for the factory fronts to cover the bottom. With that said, I just installed a set of the extended length mud busters and I love them.

I like the XL MudBusters. I also added a gap filler at the back and skirts under the doors. It’s so much nicer versus without.

See the muddy tires and not the side...

Just found that te adjustable mud buster front ones will work with the above flares. Best of both worlds!

Do the front ones come with the option to extend down the side on the xl. I didn't notice that

That part is home made and so is the gap fillers in the back.

Is that "body" flap that runs along under the doors a neoprene rubber or rigid? I've earmarked some neoprene on amazon for fender flares and to use as door sealer for dust control.

I’m not sure of the material as it was something I found laying around. It is somewhat flexible like rubber but not quite as flexible. It would tear out fairly easy and now I’m using some conveyor belt material that is superstrong and seems to be indestructible.

The conveyor belt material I am using now starts at the very front of the front fender and it is one continuous piece all the way to the back tire.

I think that stuff that you had picked out would work just fine but if you rub it up against trees or rocks it would probably tear pretty easily. I know the conveyor belt stuff is not easy to find cheap but maybe you’ll run across some one day soon.

Great idea on the conveyor belt!! There's a ton of distribution centers around here, i may have to hit them up.

I think I've seen it at Tractor Supply Co as well if you've got one of those around. I think it was pretty pricey though as @joeymt33 mentioned.

Me and several other guys lucked out on the 2018 takeover because there was some members that work at a conveyor manufacturing facility actually I think they own it but they brought some rolls of scrap and several members took them home.

It is not mud flaps now, but may do some with this same material I am using for the fender flares to help with the slinging of mud. I have cut 8" wide strips of old conveyor belt to use for the flares. I got 2/3 of the drivers side done this afternoon. It was kind of a slow PITA job, but overall I am satisfied with the part I have done. I cut 1" strip of thin aluminum strips to put between the rivets and the conveyor belt to add stability to avoid the flares from tearing out.

Where did you get the conveyor material? I looked everywhere and it was really expensive

Nicely done. Those skirts along the bottom help a lot!
