As this is a 2014 model bike I decided to add another cross-member to the bull bar. I note that the new machines (2020 onwards) there is a similar bar already.

Couple of cheap little things ive done this week.

1st was leveled the tail gate, use a 3/16 cold link to extend the cable so it lays flat.

2nd added a Ram mount phone holder for my cell phone, like it well enough I'm ordering a 2nd one for the passenger side.

3rd was drink holders. Wasn't fond of the idea of wacking my knee on the metal ones I've seen on here.

Remembered the type I had used in my boat. Perfect for this and cheap. 8.00 for both and will fold up out of way when not in use.

Awesome build I use my 700 for hunting and firewood mainly I put 3” pod lights on the lower bumper mounting holes for backup lights. Don’t interfere with bed dump and plenty of light

Well I've got the last of my add ons for now installed.

Got my puck back up lights mounted under my tail lights. Did 2 for now and if i need more light i can put 3 more spaced evenly across the tail gate. Of course I can turn on the 7.5" bar light to.

Been slowing down on my mods but still working in the buggy.

Today I got my Honda brand hard plastic rear panel on. I had tried the Honda brand rear fabric panel but I just could not warm up to it so to speak.

I really like this hard panel set up. The rear window assembly and sliding window are saftey glass, not plastic.

So far I'm very pleased with the way it's shaping up.

Also add a couple pairs of 4" pod lights to my side support bars, 1 set of spots and one set of floods for lighting up the ditches and woods to my sides.

The last piece of the puzzle will be either fabric upper door halfs or full hard doors. Those will be in the fall before this years deer season begins I hope.

I really like the build. There aren't many hunting builds on here, and that is mainly what mine will be geared toward. Things still working well, anything you wish you had done differently? I'm thinking the gun mounts like you did, and a ROPS storage bag on the middle bar, but facing backwards.

For hunting I have a ROPS storage bag from Rigg Gear which works perfectly. I install it facing the rear so the guys on the back can have all their ammo close as well as all those other little bits you need like torches, snacks etc. It even has room for my bluetooth speaker so we have sounds.

I ordered that bag, some kolpin gun mounts, and some heat shielding to reduce heat/noise from under seat.

That front rack is a damn fine idea. Is it hinged? I want to do a dual battery set up on the 700 so I'd need to be able to get in there easily. I can see a speed goat tied up there.

#1 son and I put together a shooting bench that fits the 2" receiver hitch on my trucks and his '74 Blazer back end. It swivels 180 degrees so we can shoot most any direction off the back. It has a table and typing chair to sit on when shooting. Might be too heavy for the SxS to haul around very far. I need a windshield so the front shooting bar won't work for me either. Hmmmm maybe a top hatch to stand up thru the roof and sand bags to shoot from. Keep the engine running and heater on and stay warm...sorta.

Yep, the front carrier is hinged at the rear attachment points so you can simply unclip the front attachment points and lift it up out of the way. Literally a 5 second job. If you manufacture the rear attachment points with rodends and pip-pins then removing the carrier completely is a 15 second job.

I like the shooting bench idea. Damn! Thats exactly what I need. Any photos lowrider?

I'd be happy to do that but last Winter I was pushing snow with the tractor bucket and the 2"x2" square tube that was shaped like an "F" laying on it's back turned into something closer to a "Q".

The bottom that fit into the trailer hitch was about 6' long and one arm came up about a foot out and there was an old typing chair mounted on it and the top of the "F" had a 2' x 3' plywood table bolted on the top that supported a gun rest. You could shoot most anything off it but mostly used it for sight in and working up loads for different rifles.

Many years ago I used to take smoke breaks with a Commander in the New Zealand Navy...hellofva nice guy and a lot of fun after 4 or 5 scotch's. He invited me over to meet his wife once then remembered he was divorced...great guy!

Scratch the battery in the front idea...that's where the heater goes and I put a deep cycle 24 under the driver's seat with an isolator. Kolpin gun holder thingies go on the ceiling like yours but I had mine mounted on a tool box on my ATV before I bought the 700 and lost the bottom bolt on pieces. I mostly used it for a .44 mag lever gun and my fly rod tube and don't have the streachy rubber things either...need to improvise and overcome I suppose.
