I picked up my 1000-5 LE from BVH in Reno. it was a good experience and they always take good care of me in the service department. hope to see you out on all that BLM land in the future.
side note: once my kid picks up my 78 CJ-7 I foolishly told him he could have 20 or so years ago, I will have room for a 56 Willys :)
I'm number 2 at Big Valley Honda, they seemed the most optimistic, and at least the people I've dealt with there seem like decent folks.....

I don't currently have a Honda SxS, but I am number two on the list for a Honda Pioneer 1000-5 Limited Edition, in Reno (about 20 miles north of me) Can't wait for it to show up..... I live about a half mile from 20,000 square miles of BLM land that needs exploring. Actually about 85% of the state is open to exploring. I've posted a few times, mostly asking questions and what not, lots of good information to be gleaned here.

I've been 4 wheeling for about 45 years, with various rigs (Jeeps, pick-ups, back to Jeeps and what not) When it gets more like spring here, I need to sell my '56 Willys jeep, mostly to make room in the shop to park the Honda...... It may sit outside a bit (the Jeep, not the Honda )

I'm also on a list in Carson City, Goodyear Arizona, and Casper Wyoming, but I'm thing my best bet is Reno.....

My hobbies include anything off road, hunting, fishing, and competitive shooting (USPSA)

You'll see me around, usually asking stupid questions...... I know, no such thing as a stupid question..... Just stupid people.... Well here I am.......
Welcome neighbor. I am fairly new to the forum. Great bunch of folks here with a great deal of knowledge of Honda s x s.

Welcome from Arizona. I thought about retiring to the Reno area, have a daughter and her family living there. Fortunately, I remembered that I’d need a snow shovel there and I got rid of mine when I left Wyoming.. Now, I can look at the snow on top of the mountain but don’t have to deal with it. Have a great time with your new toy.

We live in Dayton, about 20 south and a bit east of Reno, have been here 3 years and haven't had to shovel snow yet. Typically we get an inch or two, but it's normally gone the next day by noon or so. 3 or 4 inches would be the most we've had, and that only once, it stuck around in the shady spots a bit longer. We're at about 4,500 feet, but 6 miles out our back door is a 9,000 mountain..... They call it high desert for a reason, typically not much perception, although we did flood the first Valentines day we were here...... Oh, and I've moved up to number one on the list!!!!

Congratulations on getting moved up on the list. My daughter use to live in Arrowcreek off Mt Rose Hwy. I can remember two events when they had to use their snow mobiles to get the kids to school and I know of many times she had to use my 13 hp snow blower (from living in Wyoming) to clear drive way. She’s in the Holcomb ranch area now and not quite so much snow there. We’re at 3500 ft in southern Az and most of our riding is between 1500 ft and 7500 ft. Can’t go much higher now due to roads being closed for the season and snow. Best of luck with your new machine when it finally comes in.
