New Talon shifter plate

Got my shifter plate and it is getting powder coated Saturday. While im in there is there a certain way or video for me to watch to adjust my linkage?

I haven’t seen a video or made one myself but it’s a fairly simple process of centering the lever cable play on the neutral notch. It takes a little while to adjust exactly centered but it’s very much worth it.

I found the shop instructions online and it’s only one page!

I received my new replacement shifter plate very quick after placing the order. It took about 20 minutes to remove the console cover, install the new plate, and properly adjust the shift cable. I have to say I'm very happy with how it shifts now! huge improvement. I used to avoid using low gear before since it was such a pain to get it to engage. Yesterday during the ride I found myself using low a lot more. Well worth the time and effort to install the new plate. Money well spent!

What do you guys think about adding a chamfered edge on colored plates to show aluminum? It kinda looks like a pin striped edge.

This is how my mind works quite often. I'll think of things during the night and it keeps me awake. It's like a switch I can't turn off. So this morning I was up at 4:30, in the shop trying this chamfer idea with my router, before leaving for my day job.

Made a couple of these this evening and they turned out awesome! The beveled edge gives it a sharp look. Kinda reminds me of the diamond cut cooling fin edges on Harley’s blacked out engines. I have a lot of black shifter plates so I’ll make some more if these catch on. May add some colored ones too. These black ones are listed on my website as optional colors for the shifter plate.

Spent most of Mother's Day evening in the shop working on these:

Added the beveled edges to black and colors. Not much contrast with silver but I can make one if someone asks. From now on all will be sold like this for 2 reasons; they look great and this will prevent eventual uneven coating wear by the shift lever friction. No change in price.

Update 5-12-21: The blue shifter plate has been claimed.

For the fine folks here I’d like to offer a special deal on 2 less than perfect shifter plates I have. The top sides are visually perfect but the bottom sides are slightly less than perfect and I won’t sell them full price like this. Once installed you’ll see no difference but I believe when a customer gets an item in their hands it should be perfect in all ways even if defects will not be seen after installation.

So the deal goes to the first person to send PayPal info to me via a conversation through this forum. $30 each and shipped for free.

Great, now I need to do a third upgrade to get the orange chamfered one.....🙄
