A chop is in the future but the main reason is I just prefer a lower seating position. Makes the machine feel more secure to me
I can understand that! A chop on the P7 seems real practical. I'm very tall and there's still plenty of room up there. Really not necessary.

Yeah I'm pretty short at 5'8" so you can imagine how much space is up there for me! I'm thinking either chop it or store an ice chest up there, maybe a spare tire? Haha!
That's hilarious!!!

I'd love to see a 700 with a 1k cage profile. Get rid of the ugly bump
Totally agree, I think the flat top look would be far better. Honestly the front of the cage is fine, if the whole thing were that height it would look good. I'm not loving the way it's "raked". Since we're on this subject my eventual plan is changing the cage profile to a flat top style, and adding a permanent aluminum roof, riveted to the cage. Strong, light, and no rattles

Wish I was closer to your shop.

@eastenn I believe had some draws on the same design your talking about and it looked pretty cool. No I guess we just need to keep hounding him so I'll go get the thing bought and starting cutting away on it.

Lol. There's a couple good ones on the market near me right now but I'm trying to hold out for one in particular that he has already got a lot of money in accessories. Just waiting on him to have his title in hand. If it falls through there's a '16 model with 16 miles on it I'll go get.

Hi and Merry Christmas. New to group. Just got a 2014 700-4. Does anyone know of any good Fender Flares for it. It throws mud everywhere and where I hunt it's definitely muddy! Thks

Wow! That's clean, someone took care of that, or didn't ride it much, or both.

Well boys... I really hate to say this but I'm sending the seats back. I just couldn't get them in there in a way that I liked and for $700 they need to be perfect. I wanted this to work SO BAD but it just wouldn't. With the new seats the seating position was elevated by maybe 3", moved forward 2-3", and the seat back stood straight up, very uncomfortable. Really bummed about this but had to let y'all know. Perhaps another seat would work but for me, these just didn't.

Very disappointing!!! I'm sorry for the trouble and inconvenience you've endured over this, it's a disappointment to all of us watching with the interest in doing it ourselves as well. Hopefully there remains an option out there for this modification.

If you were to cut into the factory seat mounting location would there be enough room to build mounts for them you think?
