Octane DIY Glass Windshield Kit

Anyone got this windshield? The vendor company I want to order it from (not manufacturer) has a tricky return policy, no reviews anywhere, and there's no pictures from the cab side to see how the glass would fit. I like the idea of being able to insert a sheet of glass or polycarbonate everytime it wears out or cracks without it needing an entire new setup. Is that how this works? Anyone can shed some light onto his please?

That looks really good, I’m liking the fit and price...I wish they had a picture of how it looks on the P1-K. I’ve sent them an email with questions.

Old thread on one approach, go laminate safety glass, not tempered. P500 - New Glass Windshield on a plastic windsheild frame.,
Yah but it's this actual octane diy setup I'm asking about, you buy it, install the frame, and order a piece of glass to be install into it. Was hoping someone on here bought one and mounted glass into it and let me know what it looks like from inside etc. Cause I don't want to buy and be stuck losing money on a return.....

It seems like a good idea. It completely reduces the risk of glass breaking in transit. The price isn't horrible either.
Contact Octane themselves and ask for pictures. If you like how it looks, ask for a discount if you purchase it and write a review on your experience.

I’m still waiting for a response from them to answer those and more questions.

It looks like they will give you a drawing for glass to be cut. Email all the glass vendors in your area and get quotes.
You are in Toronto, so you have lots and lots of choices to get your glass cut.

Nice windshield I installed it works great.

Yea, I took the measurements. Speedy auto glass here in Canada hooked me up for like $75 or so. Which is nice cause they get scratched up and instead of replacing everything you can just swap out the panel easily. But the hood won't open unless you remove the frame or modify something. Yes I'm very pleased with it, and the look in my opinion is better.

Not being able to open the hood is a bummer. What’s your total cost in it?
