what oil filters work on the Talon? i'm well over my 100 miles with the race this weekend. it's time to change the fluids.
no sites list the talon yet, will the P1K work?

I would think the filters are the same.
Feel free to check part numbers to confirm.

Because Honda would rather you NOT do the oil change. Lost money for the dealer.

15412-HP7-A01 for Engine, also fits DCT Ranchers, Rubicons and the P1K.

15412-MGS-D21 Trans Filter, also fits P1K and Africa Twin, and other DCT Motorycles for transmission only. Odd that the DCT Atvs don't use 2 filters...?

Be aware if you've owned a P1K before, Honda changed the size of the front (oil pan) drain to a 17mm head (same as P1K sub trans drain) from a 12mm. The rear (oil tank) drain is still a 12mm head. Both drains still use a 94109-12000 washer.

Also be cautious when using anything but a Honda filter as they arent labeled which side goes out. Both the Talon and P1K should have the rubber side facing in with the spring on the outside towards the cover.

just to verify, this kit will work for the Talon too? Taking it to WV this weekend and even though im at 10 miles right now, im sure ill hit the 100 mile mark. Would it be better to do it a little early or a little later because im sure it wont be right at the 100 miles

Always be sure to check the sub trans oil at every oil change even if the dealer did the oil change.
