Ok then I dont think 15 ohms is correct. I would expect 1k ohms or more.
So when I touch the tip and then nut I get 14 on the green scale, which I guess is 14,000?

This is on RX1K. Still nothing on the RX10

Ok 14k ohms
Anyway possible to start it and let it idle while keeping meter probes connected? Would like to see if resistance changes when oil warms up .

This sensor doenst sound like a switch, it sounds like it sends a resistance info to the e m that triggers the light

I can’t let it idle. It’s in the garage, which has kid’s bedroom above it. I can do that tomorrow.

From what I’ve read, seems like the problem is in the rectifier or cdi.

Am I correct that the lite does not come on for a couple seconds when the key is cycled?

If you still have the old one ,compare the readings. And if they are similar, put the old sensor in water and heat it up. The resistance should change with temp change.

As the temp came up the resistance decreased. Down to 4-5000 by the time I came in.

I don’t have the old sensor

Anyone have the wire diagram or manual? How to see that the CDI or rectifier are good or bad?

So, with help from Honda Tech, this model doesn't have the light check with key on. So, we were chasing our tails. I've got it buttoned back up and going to get some tires to get the kids riding!!
