I have been using on x offroad for a couple days for our pioneering vacation and my free version is almost up. Does anyone else use it and is it worth the $30 per year or is there another navigation map anyone else uses?

I tried the gaia app and it works for location. I was using the ride command first and then found the on x. I really liked the satellite imagery of the on x. The issue I don't like is the inconsistent trail marking on the app itself. I will include some screenshot. The on x just looks messy

I tried the gaia app some more today and I went back to the Polaris ride command. I found that you can use satellite imagery on the rode command app but only if I have data connection and currently I do not. I used the rode command for most of the day and it seemed to work best.

Does the On X app maps include ride royal blue in Tennessee?

not yet. I called them a week ago or so and was told it's in process but they didn't give me a timeline of when it would be done.

On a side not e, I pay for the OnX hunt for the complete US and if you do you get a month free trial of the off-road instead of a week. We went to RRB a couple weeks ago and are going back to Tackett and the West side of the interstate in Oct. I broke down and bought the Lifetime Trail maps. I like it.

It looks like it shows it as rideable area but is not showing actual trail. I have not been there so I am just using the GPS to find that location.

yeah, if you scroll up to the Daniel Boone just to the north the trails there show up. they are working on uploading the trails for RRB, Windrock and Brimestone but all he could tell me was that it was in process. the Lifetime trail maps was a bit pricey but it does a great job of showing you everything. we also compared it to the Polaris Ride Command app. The Lifetime uses trail numbers and the PRC uses trail names but both were accurate. All the trail makers had numbers on them but not all had the trail name. The paper map RRB provided had them numbered and names were listed in the upper right with corresponding numbers so it was possible to figure out/double check that way. Lifetime had a lot more info on it though. For us it was worth the purchase price.

I have the On X premium. Also have Polaris Ride Command and Maprika. OnX is my go to. But at times I’ve had all 3 running simultaneously. In terms of ease of use and options I really like the OnX. But when doing group rides I also run the Ride Command. Maprika also has a group tracking feature. I’ve heard good reviews of the Avenza and All Trails apps but have not used personally.
