P700m2 P 700 Frame badly rusted.

My frame is badly rusted . Has anyone stripped there 700 to the frame to restore it? How long and hard a job it is? Paint on frame is really peeling bad as well.

I have a 1000 3 seater, it is rusted badly all over, from the top, sides and any bolted connections. This is a factory defect on the paint job.

I fully agree, paint is peeling off in my hands, all over the frame , especially the roll bar. I think it was rusty before they painted it. Very sloppy work for a Honda.

What year? And where do you store it?

Its a 2014 and it’s stored outside . I’ve seen many bicycles left outside for yrs with much less corrosion.

Also have several Suzuki quads dating back to the 90’s also stored outside with much less rust

Man I would do the rust converter and paint it. Only remove what is visible as far as plastics. Paint the $h!+ out of it... I wouldn’t take it down to the frame though!

Yeah , that’s exactly what I did, however, a lot of the paint is cracked and corroded under the paint. I did the best I could. Just disappointingly for such low quality for a Honda product.

I am an electrician, and have seen a few meter sockets/misc equipment go to complete crap in just a few seasons being under a deck. The ice melt is what does them in around here.
