Finally completed a solution on where/how to mount a spare tire and gas can on the P1000-5. Have seen the few done which mount below the tailgate where the bumper would go and extending up. Worked with a local fabrication guy to come up with this. Swings out when the bed needs to be dumped, can easily be removed all together if needed. 80 mile ride this weekend to test it out.

I wonder if anyone has made one of those for a 1000-3 yet?

The issue with the 3 seater is there's no roll cage back there to mount to. You'd most likely have to fab a bumper with the swing away attached to the top plate to make it work with the 3 seater. But then again, you 1k3 guys don't have the storage issues us 1k5 guys do since your bed doesn't flip up into extra seats. That's the main reason you see us fabbing these rear systems.

That's a nice looking setup. I built something real similar for the back of mine, you can check it out in my build thread here: P1000 - FastRedneck's DIY build

Curious what your fabricator charged you for the that setup? I've had several people hit me up about my system and inquired on the cost, but I've held off on producing any more because I think I'd be too expensive to really make it worth it for anyone.

That is one of the slickest setups I have seen for a P1K, I too would be interested in buying one at a fair price. Can you share what the fabricator charged you to build that? Beyond that......
Shut up and take my money t2

I really like that as well. It looks like a Pathfinder release on it possibly is that what I'm seeing? Excellent job looks factory as hell. Really nice. Can you see the running lights from behind?

The releases are t-handle plunger style, top and bottom, when there latched there is NO movement at all. Running lights are visible from behind had to go with the 2 gallon Rotopax to make it work.

riding from lake pleasant up to Crown King and back. Popular ride, fantastic views, go from ~2,000 ft to 6,500.

I told the fabricator once I posted, there WILL be interest. He is getting me a price to make additional mounts, I will post as soon as I have it. The kicker (as usual) will be the shipping.

I agree with others - that is awesome. I too would be interested in one if not too expensive. Any chance your fabricator would be interested in making more?

Awesome. Absolutely perfect for the 1000.2 gal isn't much but if you ran out and were easy at that point it's an additional 40-50 miles that's no joke if you're out of fuel. You're going to be littered with offers I'm positive

Very nice looking setup. Looks way cleaner than mine but I couldn't beat the price since all mine cost me was a few clamps and flange bushings lol.

That looks great! I live in Carefree, is the fabricator in your area? Could I have his contact info in case I want to buy one for my 1000-5.
Thanks. Paul

Couldn't you make a similar mount that hangs on the ROP behind the driver? It would need to swing open too in order to clear the dump bed but it would be the same as on the 1k5 except it hangs behind the driver.
