I need help figuring out which options are available for the 2023 - 1000-6 Crew shock upgrades?

I already checked out the Rough Country Vertex adjustable suspension lift kit 0-2" but wanted to see if anyone else knows any other options that will fit?
Has anyone installed the Rough Country's Vertex on their 1000-6 Crew and have feedback?

or have another brand they went with and share feedback on them?

Thanks!

I have not seen anyone on here with the 1000-6 that has upgraded shocks. I would assume from what I have read they should be similar shocks to the 1000-5. You may run into issues with the 1000-6 being heavier than the 1000-5 so you may have to swap coils which can be done with rough country or fox shocks.

Yes I ordered after upgrading from a 2016 P1000-5 which has been a flawless machine. Needed more room and have such great experience with the original p1000-5 this was my only choice.

@Hondaboats

I have seen some cool modifications that the above guy has done. He may be able to fill in some information about shocks for the 1000-6.

If u can post pics of both rigs that would be great and thank you. Kind of a thing here. Nice to see what we are talking about and the rig in question and see what u had as you claim. Theres other reasons but thats been beat to death lol.

I would try contacting Elka and see if they have anything or can build u some shocks. The P6 hasnt been out that long and there isnt many choices yet for certain things.
Also word to the wise, Id stay away from bracket fits. Use the search up top to enlighten yourself on that topic.

That's why I might have mentioned Elka, they build shocks for individual preferences and machines and have a lot of research engineering from the ground up. So if he's in hurry to get shocks, I believe Elka would be the best shot at one and done.

You all seem to be working with the assumption that the P1K6 has different shocks than the P1K5 - I'd be inclined to think it uses the same shocks, perhaps with a little different spring rate.

It would seem that you can use the Fox's that are standard upgrades on the P1Ks.

You know what sunk the Titanic? Weight. I think a P1-6 build would be fun, A-arms, 30 inch tires and shocks would be a great start.

Partzilla didn't have a catalog/fische for the 2023 1000-5, but comparing the front & rear cushions from the 2022 1000-5 to the 2023 1000-6, they are different OEM part numbers.

Do you think that it would be a bad idea to go with p1000-5 shocks on the p1000-6 ? Or just be patient until they build one for the 1000-6? I know that between the 3 to 6 seater it is about 200 pound increments.

1000-3 weighs 1567 lbs
1000-5 weighs 1720 lbs
1000-6 weighs 1936

I also added a Ranch Armor steel roof which weighs 200 pounds (Still at Dealer being built out). I am waiting on them to add the full skid plates from Ricochet, glass windshield, wiper, rear fabric panel, front bumper, winch, light bars, XTC turn signal kit, XTC power control system, front/rear speakers, light bars (all 4 sides on roof), lower light bar (rough country 50' led light kit and dual Led Cubes)

Will post pics when done with the build and thanks for everyone's input!

I would not hesitate to run P1K5 aftermarket’s on a P1K6. If you haul a lot of people and stuff just get stiffer springs if you need to firm up the ride. Just one man’s opinion of course.

If it was mine, I would just buy the shocks for a 1000-5 and put the heavier springs on the shocks.
