i am looking for any information on rod bearing sizing on a p1000. i took in a "basket case" and someone removed the bearings from the engine. My guess is that they water logged them and they spun. The crank looks good and appears to need just a light polish. any help is much appreciated. I am going to micrometer it out once it is polished but dont want to order 400$ in bearings if i can help it.

Howdy and welcome from Northern Iowa
.
You never said what year.
2016-2020 Honda Pioneer 1000 Service Manual
looks to be around page 15-8
.
Somewhere on here you can find the manual.
If you are that deep into it, you need the manual anyway.
.
Have a good day

hi - the bearings are labeled from Honda on the their parts schematic A, B, C, D, E for the crank as well as piston rods - no clue what size that means but I am thinking since you have B's now, order up B's and next size larger (C ?)if you think the polish will take some material off...... send back what you don't use

looks like a bearing set (6) for the crank is $55, no tax, no delivery

take all this with a grain of salt as I have never ordered crank bearings for this engine but the B seems to match the honda oem parts

so far, new wiring harness, new PCM, new idle motor, new throttle body sensor, used bed, new front bumper, used airbox, used muffler, used headrests, and one of the groups O2 sensor bypass. It was originally a 5, but someone removed the bed, snorkeled it and made it a mud runner. I am sure that is how the bearings got washed out. probably cranked it over after submerging it.
