You know what sucks (not to hijack your thread) but seeing your LE reminded me.

On the new LEs Honda only paints the upper A-arm silver. What a bunch of cheap assses.

Anyway, good looking rig!
Not to highjack the highjacked thread, but could you confirm for me that a blink code of 2 long and 3 short is 2-3 or an O2 sensor issue? I am not sure how to use the forum to ask so please forgive me asking here.

I believe it’s an O2 sensor. check it to make sure it’s properly plugged in to the harness. If it becomes unplugged, it will throw a code. Burning leaded fuel will cause an O2 sensor to fail too.

If you rode Jericho Oark and points north, you had a good ride. NH does thing right. We have a lot of trail miles, but it’s a hodgepodge setup that lacks inter connectivity like our sled trails and many trails have 60” restrictions which may be changing to 65” soon. Maine has outlawed snorkels. No on road registration. As much potential the state holds, there is always pushback. The club leadership at most clubs are the worst offenders of championing progress. It’s a mindset they have about over protecting private land that has organized trail mileage passing through which accounts for 80 percent of our mileage. It’s a constant battle between landowners (not in my back yard mentality) trailmasters (I’m the self appointed law on my system) and every self appointed important persons wife that likes to fan the flames on social media. As pretty as Maine is, we need a total overhaul on how the trails are managed and funded. NH us a good model.
Just curious, what on earth is the reason for outlawing snorkels???

Maine is a nanny state to begin with. There is also a “not in my backyard” mentality with many people. Landowners are very protective of their land. 80 percent of out trail system traverses on private land. A network of local clubs maintain the trails, seek/renew formal permission paperwork through landowners. Clubs are reimbursed for their trail maintenance efforts through the state department of conservation. Through the years, we have had the 1%ers tear up property, leaving a bad taste in people’s mouths. Mudding in this state is frowned upon except for certain areas set aside for such activities. We have had some trail closure due to angry landowners. Some damage has not even been due to ORV use. Doesn’t matter. Bad PR regardless. Years ago in response to some land getting torn up, the typical legislative process was used to enact a seriously flawed law outlawing both snorkle kits and even factory installed snorkels all in the name of “discouraging temptation” of using your ORV as a boat.Club leadership throughout the state has taken sides with sensitive landowners all in the name of keeping trails open. Unfortunately that mentality leads to an overzealous approach to enforcement of laws. A fair portion of our trails are limited to 60” due to this same mentality. I guess if you applied the same approach to snorkels to owning fast cars, then there would be a ban on fast cars too. That is how ridiculous the whole thing is. Sorry for the long post.

Don’t apologize. Some of us folks around here are bored and content hungry. And that’s good to know. Unfortunately it’s easy for a handful of people to ruin it for everyone. Honestly if I started having problems on my land I’d close it off in a heartbeat. That’s why it’s important for us to police ourselves.

It is. It’s also not productive to become over reactive and enact laws or push policy that is based on emotion bs factual data. The old adage of “one person takes a crap in their pant, now everyone gets to wear a diaper“ is hard to swallow. Outlawing a class of units based on perception doesn’t make sense IMO. You’ve got units sitting on dealer floors around here with factory installed snorkels, some units are 72” wide etc. Someone goes in to the dealer, flops down hard earned money all to find out they can’t use it on the trail system. Or more importantly, our visitors to the south come here with their rigs and find out they can’t use them. That is totally unproductive to tourism here. IMO, with the 7000 mile system we have here, we need to have much of it interconnected, color code the the trails based on weight and size and police bad behavior better.

That code is for the O2 sensor heater. They pop up alot on atvs that don't get properly warmed up and make constant short trips.

You can do a quick sanity check and look for loose connections or wiring issues. But most likely you'll need a new sensor.

Back to the build, here are some shots of the Seizmik door install. They use an inner frame that attaches to the ROPS, then fabric wraps around the inner frame. I had to cut 2 slits on each side to allow for the windshield brackets.

When installing the inner frame, I relocated the lower brackets on the aft portion of the frame. This is to allow the space they normally use for a BCF harness bar that is on order. Yes, I’m going with 4 point harnesses.161E38F7 5C9A 499E 96E4 DDF496849C73

Managed to score on a Throttlemax. The proprietor died in a rafting accident a couple years ago and the website largely indicated these are sold out except for red ones, hence I got a red one.40105F89 624F 40A9 A0BA C8C8C80BEA6B

Billet beauties. RB3 1” spacers. With a 5x2 offset and the Pitbulls I’m running, (27x9x12) I’m measuring 65.5” from side to side at the most extreme outer edges of the rubber. These spacers are a work of art. I hate to get them dirty.D439AFBD 4D12 4236 A969 9DF8CE1945A8

All mirrors are installed. Keeping with the Seizmik theme, I went with Seizmik Pursuit side mirrors, and a Seizmik cab mirror. They were easy to install. The side mirrors mount to the front door frame bracket. The hole is already there. If you order for a Pioneer, the mounting bolts are too long believe it or not. Seizmik states to order for a RZR and you’ll get the right size bolt. But you’ll get the wrong ROPS bracket if you ever do away with your doors and want to mount directly on the ROPS. A trip to the orange colored home improvement store took care of it for $2.53. 2 10x20mm hex head bolts.C94966DA 651D 461E 80CE 755CFD92F20292564C75 0E41 44B6 813E F19438AD7B33231716BF 83F7 42DE B634 10A9368DC5C74F2457B4 7D62 4D5D 8BFE 947493CC89BB

The Honda soft rear panel is installed here. It’s a nice well built unit, but my only gripe is the fabric doesn‘t have cut outs for the two rear Honda hard roof mount clamps that clamp around the ROPS. Nothing in the instructions indicating anything about it. It gets frustrating when you installed parts that are supposedly meant to work with each other. I tucked the fabric under The brackets and tightened the brackets up good and tight. It will work. I’m still annoyed by it.

Here are the 4 point harnesses installed to their lower mounts and awaiting for the BCF harness bar. there was a lot going on in this phase and I didn’t get pictures of the process. It’s pretty straight forward. remove the lower and upper seat, and the plastic barrier between the lower and upper seat, them unbolt all the belts and put them away for safe keeping. You’ll need to jump the plug for the drivers belt to do away with the 12MPH limitation imposed by the ECU. I ordered the jumper plug in the store here on the forum. I also installed vent extension tubes for the gas tank, and the sub trans and also insulated the plastic panel with a aluminized blanket, both available as a kit on EBay. Here in the pic, the harnesses are just draped across the factory cross bar. These are PRP 4.2’sEBD82A96 87BE 4580 8583 18AEC4BF46FC

Here we are so far in the process. It’s all back together for now. I’m sure I’ll have to loosen up the rear panel to gain access to the rear portion of the ROPS to install the harness bar when it comes. Next up on the list? Dual battery setup, Tigertail, divide up the cargo bed and figure out some storage solutions. I’ll probably take the stock wheels and shod them with a nice 8 or 10 ply like a Kinati Mongrel or a Terrabite for all the railbed running I do. Save the Pitbulls for the softer, muddier stuff. Sorry for the 2 week hiatus on the build. I contracted a case of Covid-19 so I took some time off to get well. Things are good now.
last pic is of the entire dirt toy collection.F4105942 135D 4714 A477 AC961C14459E1B5BAD39 E13A 476F B5BA 85F4BAC5E7A627E92A79 714A 4F2E B72D 34C0AE6CF556

4 point harnesses are now complete. BCF harness bar installation was straightforward. You need to loosen the upper ROPS on the passenger side to get the new harness bar to fit between the vertical bars. Once it’s in there, you can tighten everything down. I took all the factory seat belts out of the unit and also used the forum store shorting plug for the drivers side belt safety system.E0BA555F 062D 495C 9FE7 055CA0EFC03A
