Well took it out and ran fine. I wonder if that smoke was from what ever was keeping it from going. It didn't smoke after the belt was plugged in.

As far as break in...is there anything to do or not to do and how long if so

Do not baby it. I would recommend staying away from prolonged high speed runs until first service. Run it in auto, manual, sport etc. Keep it reving all over the board.

The seatbelt saftey should not make it smoke. Using a Torx T10 screwdriver, take drivers seat buckle apart and smoke the magnet that triggers the safety.

Grab the owners manual, throw it in your crapper, slowly read/thumb thru it while doing your business. Lots and lots of information tucked away in it.

Finally, get out and enjoy it, don’t be scared to come in here and ask the dumb questions. We all had them at one point and searched around or asked.
