I'll be reviewing the HMF Titan over the next week and see what it does for power and noise.

So far the install is super easy and they provided clear instructions and all hardware needed.

One note, it does interfere with the Elka shock on the passenger side......

I moved the reservoir to a different location to keep it away from heat.....

Like I mentioned earlier, the install was easy and won't go into that. Here's the finished job...

Good lookin system, would like to hear a sound clip when u get a chance. Interesting that the exit of the exhaust is on the opposite side of the machine. Those reverse lights are b*****n by the way.

The sound is louder than stock but not much louder than my stock muffler with larger tip. It does sound a lot better and I don't have that annoying rattle sound when engine braking.

I'm glad I got the Titan QS and not the loud version (XL)

CP: This group looked for anything rough and had a great time. It wasn't all about who was the best or correct line just some good ol boys with a beer and a 4wd.

Now I've got to get the PCV working properly so I can compensate for the change. It seems my O2 sensor for the Auto Tune failed (or needs calibration) so currently no fuel trims have been made. I still made some test runs though. The muffler noise can't really be heard because the intake noise is loud under full throttle.

Here is the first run with stock modded exhaust.

Here is the second run with the HMF. So far it just makes noise and no performance increase.

Anyone notice how crisp those shifts are after close to 2000 miles of abuse? You can watch the tach and tell they still seem good.

Good thing you got those custom chamfered valves, that has to be it. LMAO

Can you calibrate a new sensor with the PC or do you have to buy one from them? I ditched my AEM wideband years ago for that very reason. Had to buy their 150.00 sensor. Bought an Innovate and now I just buy a 49.00 sensor for a late model VW and calibrate it lol.

Love the way that system looks installed btw. Really transformed the look of your rearend (shut up JTW, no other way of saying that lol).

I like the HMF doesn't sound like it's too loud and it gives you more room. My question is does it along with the PCV help it run any cooler?

That WAS a softball even I was tempted to make a comment.

Its way too early for my brain to function and I couldn't think of a less jtw friendly way to put it lol.

If I have to buy new one, my intentions are to buy the $50 Bosch 5-wire version. I'll have to change the plug on the end but the sensor itself would be exactly the same.

PC wants $150 for a replacement!

Very funny! For the record, this engine has never been opened up beyond removing the oil dipstick and fill cap.

I always asked for one for an 02 vw new beetle. Others will work but I know for sure that one will. I still had to calibrate it for stoich but only took couple minutes.

You think it might work without having to change the plug? I'll send you a picture of the one I have so you can look at the plug.
