Does the Gear indicator blink. (Where it shows N,R, etc) or is the Neutral light blinking?

Since there isn't a code 18, it appears you have code 8. Which is a Throttle Position sensor code.

The quickest check is to see if its unplugged. On the left side of the throttle body (in front of the airbox) is a 5 pin plug pointed downward. If it appears to be fully plugged in you may try unplugging and then plugging it back. Do Not Remove It From The Throttle Body.

If that doesn't do it, then there may be an issue with the sensor itself.

What year?

I believe the connector he has is the 5 pin TPS connector. Similar to the 4 pin.
