P1000 Pioneer cab heat

Most owners have encountered the cab heat issue with their SXS. Sitting in close proximity to the engine and cooling system components is going to result in some additional heat in the cab. My issue is made worse by Honda OEM full doors. While I welcome the doors in the cooler parts of the year and inclement weather, it makes the heat issue more of a problem in the warmer months. I've gradually tried the usually recommended fixes, like the DEI heat shield, installing Seizmik windshield vents, installing the shifter control shields, and sealed up the gaps in the firewall and cab. All made incremental improvements. I also added some RAM mounted overhead fans in the cab, which were very helpful this summer during a trip to the Black Hills in South Dakota. The only thing I hadn't done that has been recommended by forum mebers is install a fan or fans in the engine compartment. I had some time in the shop recently and installed a 8" radiator fan. I used a lot of ideas from posts and pictures of other members. Thanks to all of them for their ideas and insights. Winter weather has arrived here in Wisconsin, so I'll have to wait until next year to see if it makes addition improvements with heat reduction in the cab

Just did the 8'' fan under the seat and the foil/bubble/foil blanket and was pleasantly surprised. Both made a big difference and combined a huge difference. I also placed some dynamat type material on the back of the center trim piece from one seatbelt cut-out to other other. I wish I had done the dynamat on the whole piece, it gets warm where there is none. There is still a little heat coming through the cuts for the seatbelts and pegs for the seat so I will work on sealing those up a little better. ALso put some pipe insulation between the seat back and the soft rear panel. Once the temps get higher I may look into sealing around the shifters but unless it is sitting still It isn't noticeable.
