Ever wondered if you could fit a 2014 Honda Pioneer 700 UTV in the bed of your truck? Well wonder no more, it CAN be done!

Hummm, not sure that I'd trust the truck's tailgate cables for that amount of weight, much less depend on the Pioneer staying secured in the truck bed. A Louisiana Guard Dog may work, but still, I'd prefer a trailer.

I would worry about trees and low bridges, great photo, thanks for sharing. I was considering what it would be like and now I know I won't do that personally now. Thanks for helping me make a decision.

My 700-4 fits into my 2008 f350 but when the front tires went over the wheel wells I couldn't back it out without the pioneer sliding sideways in the bed wedging it in place. The Ford has a 2x8 board slot on the wheel well and one just forward of that. I placed 2- 2x8s and reloaded. No problems. I need to make a couple of 4x4 blocks to stop forward movement. I hauled it around for 2 days with no issues.

Use two 2x6 boards the full length of the bed. so that all 4 tires are on the boards and your tail gate will be fine!!

Is your f350 a dually or single rear wheel?

I saw tailgate supports somewhere, that strengthen it by supporting it instead of the cable.

Using the google this was the first result, not saying buy these no idea of the quality, just using as an example.

I'm going to get a flat bed truck when I get one. Already figured that would be best for me. Probably a dodge 2500 diesel.

We just picked up our P4 today. Would not recommend to load in back of truck. We got it in but it was a struggle. We have a GMC 2500 and there are two bars that stick out near the tailgate that we had to lift front tires over. Take a trailer.

A trailer is much easier but I've been carting my sxs around in the bed of my short bed 2500HD for over a year now. I do use jack stands under the frame of the sxs to the bed of the truck to take the pressure off of the tailgate cables and hinges. It does work nicely but a trailer would be easier and give ya more room for camping/hunting gear. You can't do this with many other full size sxs machines! In fact that was one of the deciding factors in the purchase of the Pioneer.... and of course its a Honda. Go Honda or go home!

We loaded it in my 2500HD but we put 3 8x8 in the bed first with 2 sheets of plywood and landed it right in. Worked pretty well.

Or you can go this way. I've hauled it over 1500KM like that, and pulling the trailer, no issues yet.

10/4 , 1600lbs? That's awesome but not quite enough for a 1000-5.

Bet there's some pucker getting it loaded.

Ya, I was going nutz waiting for the specs on the 1000-5 to see if I was trading in the 700 lol. The first time was bad getting it up, my truck's also lifted 2" on 35's, and I have to pick my spots to unload/load, otherwise the ramp transition at the top is too steep, and it hangs up on the undercarriage. Fedex is saying Wed for my skids to show up from you guys, then it shouldn't be a problem anymore.

That is a full bed now, I would get those solid metal straps that replace the cables made exactly for hauling heavy weight on the tailgate though. I hate to think of the damage to the truck and P700 if those cables gave way on a rough section of road / RR Tracks etc.

I have a diamond back and was hoping to go this route as well. Is your truck a long box or short box. Wondering how it fits. I have a 2500 Ram Power Wagon with a 6.5' box. Was wondering how the factory Diamond back UTV kit worked or if I had to make a custom setup.
