That would be cool. We exit the park on Hwy 89 in Gardiner Montana. It would be cool if we could get thru the forest there over to 191 on a dirt/forest road and then cross the forest again to 287 and make our way north west to the continental divide. That is very good to hear about Yellow Stone. If you all still want me to I will start working on a route from the north gate on to your destination. I am fairly familiar with the area. How much off highway are you willing to go on? Here is a rough verbal sketch of a possible route from the north gate to Saint Marie's.
From the north gate into Darby My then up to Lolo Mt then up to the LOLO Pass summit. From there to Avery Idaho is all unpaved mountain roads then down the Saint Joe river to Saint Marie's and on to Christmas Hills, which is pavement and down hill. If this route is acceptable to all I'll begin to get all the maps necessary and mark them for you. This is also the part of the route I would want to ride out and guide you all in.

Sounds like you and @oldtrucks have the last leg planned out. I like the initiative guys! That would be cool. We exit the park on Hwy 89 in Gardiner Montana. I hope @oldtrucks is familiar enough with the area to know of or be able to find a forest road between 89 and 191 so we don't have to go up to Livingston. And again the same from 191 thru the forest to 287 at Ennis. And from Ennis (old 287) is a nice back country road that takes you through several small old mining towns (like Virginia City) and to many secondary roads like 41, 2, 1 and 38 along a northwesterly approach to the continental divide.Sounds like you and @oldtrucks have the last leg planned out. I like the initiative guys!
