YouTube is stupid gotta be a better way.
I am re uploading the video now, I did not have an issue until I put it on Farcebook then UMG (Universal Music Group) s*** a brick and had it blocked. My other video I did not try to share on Farcebook is still up and running. Lessons learned with Nazi Social Media.

Alunite Ridge video, Descending from 11,250 ft. to Trail 77.

OK third times a charm with the Hennessey Point video, This time edited the length and soundtrack so it should not be blocked until someone tries to share on Farcebook.

It is Hennessey Point, a side trail off Paiute Trails 77 which is actually FS road 601 on the topo map. The story is there was a cabin, and gold mine from old man Hennessey who became ill, buried his gold nearby, was taken to town for his illness and never returned. The overlook is amazing at the end.

Please let me know if you can see this video AND view it in 1080P, was setup to be viewed at 1080 @ 60FPS, Thanks

Awesome Pics!

This is why I don't sleep in hammocks!

I bet Josh didn't know which one to choose, he wears those knee high rubber boots for a reason ;)

The bear scratches were right in the grove of aspen where we camped on the mountain. There were 100’s of carvings in the trees from hunt camps years before. The oldest (we saw) dating back to 1948. The trail up to the camp had been long forgotten and only a recent 4 Wheeler track that gave us a faint glimpse that we could bush whack up the mountain side where we just happened to run into an old trail up the mountain. There we found our camp over looking the mountains. The elk were bugling all through the night and the mule deer came right thru camp. We also had quite a few black visitors of the angus variety. The hammocks slept great and camping in the mountains was the highlight for us. It was cool!

Ok, now that is a very nice video. I am looking forward to the day when I'll be riding in places like that. And especially if I can do it with a crew like y'alls. ;):)

I have a great video coming up, showing 1.5 hrs until finished uploading, it is 16 minutes of the complete side trail to Michealson's Gold Mine, Cabin, and signal fire overlook. There are 2 section of 40%+ hill climbs over 1000 ft each, Got @UtahJeff leading the way on camera on his P500. Will post as soon as completed.

This is a great 16 minute video from 4 clips of some of the harder trail sections, two 1000+ ft climbs with a grade over 40% incline, then two down just as long and steep. This is the side trail to Michaelsens Cabin & Mine it was active until WWII. They sent their 15 year old son from town up into this section to mine with a pack horse, once there he unloaded the horse and set it free to return to town. When the first signs of winter came in he would go out to the point at the end of the video (see 1st Picture) set a big bon fire and they would send the horse back up into the mountains to get him and the gold to come back down for the winter.

@UtahJeff leading the way in his P500, This was on Friday's Group Ride, had about 9 machines with us.

Short clip of Monroe Mountain overlook at nearly 11,200 ft. elevation. The sheep at the end said a feller in gum boots came by offering free alfalfa... Was that you @JTW ?

OK finally got the above video re-uploaded so Farcebook Fairies won't get it blocked by trying to share everything including their stool samples.

PS will take a bit longer for the 1080P version to finish conversion, You tubes issue not mine.

Big hill climbs at 3:00 min & 6:10 min marks.

Try it now @DG Rider @Dp5hunter

I just stumbled on this old thread. Looks like you guys had an amazing time.

I would love to see another ride out here for the 50" trails. Sounds like a lot of them are open to 60" too.

i appreciate all of the work that went in to the videos, looks like you captured an amazing place.

It was B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L for sure.
But man, what a job it is for us east coasters to get out that way.
I would have never of made it if it was not for the generosity of @JACKAL being my transporter.
I still put this down as a trip of a lifetime for me.

But one day. When the kids move out, I will return.
(assuming we are allowed to travel without a state/town passport. lol)

I have it a little easier since its less than 1,000 miles from my house. Its a long day to get there, but I still would rather it be done in one day so I have more time to enjoy on the trails.

This one is a bit easier for us in another way too, instead of needing to camp we can stay in motels in town each night. Being able to basecamp out of town is a bit more tolerable for my wife. Funny how important a toilet is to a woman...

We will be at lizzie and Charlie's rv park in marysvale 8/15 through 9/13, colorado guy's will be in camp 9/3-9/10. We have been spending a month every summer there for 5yrs or so, doing 2000mi or so a year. It's 2 1/2 hrs from home, 20 degrees cooler! Would look forward to tagging along on the back of a groups string. We have a talon, no 50in trails for us.
