I decided a while back I would start to upgrade Pockets for a more smooth and comfortable ride. The SunF tires got it rolling. Another box came in today. Pockets is outside on the trailer and doesn't know what's up. Here we go !

Got the right side shock installed. Should it move back and forth like this? Normal?

Did you install the metal bushings? I can't see if they are there in the video.

@The Green Goat ... Do your WE have this much play?
Yes, I did install the metal bushings. This is a 2015 model. Could someone maybe go out and see if theirs moves around like this?

Couldn’t see vid in my sketchy phone world but with supplied bushings(if you have them) they’ll be tight when snugged. I have a 2015 with WEs.

Yes there should be metal bushings that allow some movement.
After further review it appears that a type of ball joint is used. If you take a screw driver and put it thur were the bolt goes, you can get movement. Just seems weird. The ends are kinda set up like in this picture.

Looks more like slop than appropriate movement, to me..,

I got the left side on tonight. Way easier then putting the right one on. About 36 threads showing. Gave me a little more than a inch in height. I don't think the movement will be a problem. Debating if I want to get up at 530am and go to the deer lease before it gets hot to test ride.

Finally made it out to the deer lease this weekend for a test ride, and Ho Lee Chit ! These WE Shocks are awesome. Night and day difference, especially at speed. May do a little adjustment later but right now I am really liking them. Will be ordering the rear ones soon.

Finally able to find some time to put the rear shocks on Pockets tonight. Not to excited about how I mounted the remote reservoirs, I couldn't make the brackets I bought work. Nothing in the shop to fab anything. Will figure out something else later. Tomorrow we ride at dawn!
