2017 limited with 1450 miles. Started getting a popping noise coming from the rear end. It only does it on 2wd lock, turning sharp. At first I thought the turf mode needed adjusting, but it was good. Kinda sounded like it was disengaging, but going in circles in soft ground it spins the inner tire pretty good. Can’t get any play on the rear axles. Jacked it up and let it free spin and no noise coming from the rear end. Any ideas?
Tried to do a video, but too large to load.

You have to upload your video to utoob and post the link. It isn't hard, I'm a #oleguy and got 'er dun.

Popping noise could be a CV joint but you don't have that many miles. If it quits as it warms up, it's even more likely to be a CV. I've had 3 CVs start popping in 16k miles (Talon, no turf mode so no adjustment) but all 3 showed with a leaking boot, I didn't have to figure out which one it was.

Checking an axle by trying to wiggle it will tell you if it's extremely worn, but they can still feel pretty solid in the early failure stages.

2wd lock on a sharp turn (especially on pavement) puts a good bit of stress on them.

I've got 17K on a Pioneer 1000, and every time I've heard thunks it turned out to be a CV, even when I thought it was something else.

here is a video.
I'll go first - that doesn't sound like a CV to me, it's too regular. I'd guess (with no experience) that the cable controlling turf mode isn't adjusted. Again, I own a Talon without that adjustment.

That’s what I checked first. I jacked it up and tweaked the adjustment till it was engaging and disengaging as soon as the lever is moved. I pulled the cover off of where the cable actuates, going into the differential, and cleaned the mud a debris out of it. Put a little oil on it and replaced cover. I was watching it go back and forth when I shifted from 2wd to turf mode.

Normally, if you pay attention, you can even tell by ear whether it's the left or right CV, even from the drivers seat. If you need to have someone walk next to it while you make a circle, try that.

I believe the RR is the primary driven wheel when running around in turf mode, so it's typically the first to wear out. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this primary driven wheel thing.

It's probably a cv joint like these guys said. Have a look at this video first. It is the best way to adjust those cables and has worked well for me.

I have already watched that video and another similar one. That was the first thing I did, and also pulled the cover off the linkage, where it goes into the differential, to make sure it was pivoting.
