So many good threads on racks, boxes and baskets scattered around. Thought a single thread for pics may help others decide or share ideas and save troubles. Have changed/modified mine over time based on good examples, never done with mods.. Getting it started for those who might pass up a P500 because of the bare rack. Latest change to a Yamaha UMax golf cart box. Consider single bolt conduit clamps vs u bolts for attachment to rack tubes.

I normally don't carry the spare, just have not removed it since returning from AZ trail riding with the big boys( CA 1000s). I had no problem keeping up, and had my stock tires on so it got a little tippy at times with 50"width. Soon as I got home ordered spacers and bigger tires & wheels. Could someone with a 520 measure the interior dimensions of the bed, and also length to end of tailgate with tailgate dropped? I see the dimensions in the spec sheet, but not sure if that is interior and if it is an exact rectangle. Thanks

The Bed dimensions are 38.5" wide X 26" deep X 10" sidewalls. 38" deep with the tailgate open.

Here is my rear rack/seat/box... the backrest is easily removed by sliding it up. Haven't gotten around to putting a "tailgate" on it yet to help hold in the fire wood or whatever.
