P700 Prius steering

Finally was able to run to my local you pull it parts yard as there website (and the guy at the counter) said they had a 09 Corolla on the yard, they did not but I did score this eps unit from an 04 Prius for less the 70 bucks out the door. Was able to modify the Prius steering shafts to mate up to the Honda steering joints and only thing I had to seriously modify on buggy was cutting out the factory eps bracket and weld up my own. Still have to paint it up and reinstall then we’ll see just have well it works out.

Great idea, how difficult was it to wire in?

Cool idea, does it have a control unit....ecm type thing or is that what the 2nd pic is showing?

Yes the box in the second pic is a stand alone ecm for unit. For wiring it’s literally 3 wires, positive ground and a keyed hot. I have access to a lathe but it wasn’t really needed. I chopped up the steering shaft
That came with the eps from junk yard so if something goes wrong .... I can put it back to manual steering in a matter of an hour or so.
