You will be VERY pleased with this mod.
I added it to my 700 and would never suggest anyone buy a sxs without PS.
the steering is easy for me what i have a problem with is bump steer. if it doesnt help with bump steer its a useless mod for me for probably another 20 yrs. lol

If you're talking about kickback yes it does help.
Steering kickback relates to the sharp and rapid movements of an automobile's steering wheel as the front wheels encounter a significant obstruction or imperfection in the road.

Mine came factory , I have been through countless rocky , rutted areas and never had a bumpsteer problem. I have fought non power steering units before and I am sold on it 100% .

i never really did before hand but that was running 27s x10,12s and like 5 psi. but with the portals im about 8-10 in hes wider at the wheel. and side note for the 32x8.5 anything above 8 psi is horrible bumpsteer. lol

I'm am sure the portals would play a big factor with the much larger tires. I run 27s so mine has much less to overcome.

Bump steer or roll steer is the term for the tendency of the wheel of a car to steer ... Cars with rear live axles, also known as solid axles do not exhibit true bump steer.

i just got what you were saying sportrac. didnt realize that was the wiki definition. in car enthusiast world its more like this.
Bump Steer is when your wheels steer themselves without input from the steering wheel. The undesirable steering is caused by bumps

I have never had portals, but I would say bump steer is eliminated.

Question how difficult is the power steering kit to install. Looks somewhat intimidating...

If anyone has any recommendations on a manufacture, and/or pictures they would like to share, please do so. I may be doing the same as Alan shortly. Gets difficult sometimes, steering with one hand... lol.

Not sure there is more than 1 manufacturer, I think all are made by one company and branded differently.
I added PS to my 700 a few years back,I'll look for the thread.
I remimber it taking a couple hrs to install. Also I did NOT remove right front fender as the instructions said.
