I installed a Quick Shield shortly after we bought our 520 for noise reduction. We went for a ride yesterday and the temp was in the 90ºs. The heat from under the seat was not bad at all. I can't say how much the Quick Shield helps but yesterday's ride was pleasant.

If you do any cold weather riding... remove the Quick Shield and it absolutely helps keeping you warm. Well worth the removal and re-install time in my opinion.

Always good to hear from a satisfied customer. They're not pretty but they work.

I got the inspiration to do a mod on my Quick Shield. I did some cutting with shears and got the desired effect.
My job looks lie Jack the Ripper did the work compared to the link I found for inspiration. It really helped knock down the engine noise and now most of the noise is at the rear of the machine.
My end work:

The link I found: P500 - Quick Shield install

After seeing heat shield questions on other SxS pages, I always comment with the Quick Shield link. Trigger started by doing right for us here, so passing on the favor to others.
👍 and thanks @trigger .

Ordered the Quickshield for my 2025 Pioneer 520, but also ordered: BBTO Heat Reflective Sheet Adhesive Backed Aluminized Fiberglass Heat Shield a 36"x48" piece from Amazon for $15.00 My plan is to cut the sheet to the outline of the Quickshield and then peel & stick it on the back side. I'll post my verdict after a shakedown ride. Pretty sure it'll be even "better" than just the Quickshield.

Don't know how thick the fiberglass stuff is? Just make sure your seats are still locking in good. 👍

Bought a 36" X 48" heat reflective foil via Amazon for $14.99. This has a peel off adhesive backing (super sticky). I'm getting ready to do the install, but I've found the "custom" slots and holes don't seem to line up with anything 520.
Did you have to do your own alterations to get it in?
Update... Installed it without too much of an issue. Just had to cut off the excess from flaring out the sides of the dump bed area.

Maybe it's inverted? It will fit / line up. I have one on my 520 (as well as two P500s). Same seatbelts and seat mounts as the P500.

Let us know if any orientation matches the Quickshield and if the combo has any noticeable improvements with foil facing the engine. Just curious.
