Radial vs. bias ply

I'm thinking of getting new, slightly bigger tires. I'm considering Kenda bear claws and a few others. What I'm wondering is what are the advantages of going to a radial tire? I would assume they are more puncture resistant, are there any other benefits? I'd like to hear your thoughts

they have less rolling resistance, better wear, and have a better " footprint"

I installed Kenda Bear claws on my Ranger and liked them so much that as soon as I got my Pioneer 700-2 I put 26" bears claws on it. I love the way the machine ride's and handles with them plus the traction is fantastic. If you buy and put them on you'll be surprised how much of a difference they make. Here pic of how much difference the 26" bear claws are compared to the factory tire's this is the front tire

Thanks for the review, are those the bear claw radials you put on? I found two different Kenda bear claws, I think one was radial and one was not. Which ones do you have? And thanks for the picture that is quite a difference! I'm guessing from the pic those are the radials

Yes Kenda Bear Claw HTR Radials.

you can also get them in 27" on your 12" wheels. that's what I have very good tires.

I would ask if the 27's resulted in a noticeable loss of power but I know that's no longer an issue for you with your turbo!

your right. but no I even think they helped out with the power they roll over things much easer. if they had 28" I would buy them next.
