Hello all-
I have a radio setup on my Pioneer 1000-5, when bought the machine used the previous owner already had this installed. There was no antenna hooked up when I bought the machine so I purchased an antenna that is wired to the radio and is hooked up the battery to amplify the antenna. Many people use these on motorcycles from what I am told. I mounted the antenna to under my plastic hard top roof. When the machine is off I get a ton of channels and great sound quality, but I turn the machine on I get tons of static and lose many of my channel options. Any suggestions???

I have attached a picture of the radio that is installed on my machine.

Thanks

Make sure the antenna is completely away from any electrical wires

Add a Ground loop Isolator.
What ^^^^ said and just a real ground for that stereo. I have one similar and you need to do a good ground or she’ll make noise.
